Coastal Urgent Care has been providing convenient and affordable care to the Pawleys Island community since 2008. “When searching for a strategic alternative for Coastal Urgent Care, we were impressed with Urgent Care Group and their industry expertise” said Gerald Congdon, MD, Founder of Coastal Urgent Care. “Joining the Urgent Care Group Network will provide me with the opportunity to continue to serve patients without the administrative burden of running the business.”
Dr. Congdon and all Coastal Urgent Care employees will transition to Urgent Care Group and continue to provide outstanding service on the south end of the Grand Strand.
Coastal Urgent Care is the 24th center to join the Urgent Care Group Network, and in early January, will become part of the MEDcare Urgent Care brand. “We are pleased to add Coastal Urgent Care to the Urgent Care Group Network,” said David Maloney, CEO of Urgent Care Group. “Urgent Care Group will now provide urgent care services that cover the north and south ends of the Grand Strand.”
With the name change, MEDcare – Pawleys Island will expand operating hours to 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, seven days a week, offer on-site x-ray services and lab, rapid COVID-19 testing, care for injuries and illness, and provide patients with the convenience of Saving Your Spot Online and completing your registration from your mobile phone or computer before arriving at the center.
