David has spent his career leading and assisting healthcare services companies in achieving their goals. He has more than 40 years of broad and deep healthcare management experience. David has provided leadership in defining and operating in a multi-market setting with a distributed clinical workforce, developing and implementing measurements and metrics for monitoring progress and process improvement, building a leadership team and company with a culture of success, and managing high-growth healthcare services companies.
Prior to founding Urgent Care Group (UCG), David served as Chief Administrative & Integration Officer at Urgent Team, a leading regional urgent care company, where he had executive responsibility for leading and managing companywide initiatives including de novo development, joint venture relationships, due diligence and integration, business and systems infrastructure, and significant business partner relationships.
David’s experience includes co-founding SpecialtyCare in 2006. While at SpecialtyCare, he served on the Board and as Executive Vice President of Administration and Chief Information Officer (CIO). Prior to this role, David was Executive Vice President and CIO of Renal Care Group (NYSE: RCI). At SpecialtyCare and RCG, he had executive management responsibility for creating and overseeing the company’s support services and business infrastructure including human resources, benefits, information services, facilities, insurance programs, physician services, and revenue cycle management. He was also responsible for leading both companies’ significant acquisition transition and integration activities.
David also served as Vice President, Managed Care of Baptist Hospital, Nashville and as Associate Partner of Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) where he last led the firm’s North and South Carolina healthcare practice group.
David earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Auburn University.
